Design Team Spotlight
Question: "When do you find your most creative moments in your busy week? Also,
how do you find the time to make projects?"
a day, but I'm truly a night owl. I will stay up until 3am, 4am, 5am...stamping my
heart out. Then I get up and go to work the next day at 7/8am. LOL!  I wouldn't have
it any other way though...it's fun!  Life seems to be a little crazier since I work full
time, go to school, and run Treehouse Stamps. My spring semester is finally over
passion.  Like I've said before...thank goodness my husband allows me to love this
as much as I do. LOL! Have a great month! Hugs, Ashley
environment I'm in, observing what design patterns are on cloths or looking at My
creative moments come at any time of the day!  Just by looking around the
billboard signs as I drive to work!!  I stamp mostly in the evening during the week,
as I work during the day, but on the weekends I am all free to stamp!!!  I make the
time to stamp at least four days a week.  This is how I relax and unwind after a
busy day or hectic work week.
My most creative moments are usually in the morning. Anywhere from 7am on.
Sometimes the creative juices will even hit me at night and then I could be up until
1am creating. Finding time is always fun what with having 2 younger children at
home during the school days! But creating is my right arm so I will make time for it
even if it is only to stamp an image and color it in.
My creative time hits me in the evening around 7-8 pm. I'm
definitely not a morning person and I don't stay up too late either
the time to do stamping when my hubby is on the road. He is a
salesman so he travels overnight during the week and I count this as
my "ME time". :) I can get all kinds of things done, or nothing at
all and not feel guilty! LOL Stamping gives me an outlet and
something to do when I'm by myself. Hugs, Kristin
I seem to scrap or stamp at night after hubby and the kids have gone
to bed. Usually around 9 pm. I sometimes stay up until 12 am, which
I pay for dearly in the morning! I do work outside of the home as a
5th grade teacher......so during the day I am not home.....but summer
is right around the corner.....19 more days, but who's counting? LOL!

up and I get busy doing other things. Sometimes I wake up with thoughts and ideas
of things I want to try. I guess I am a morning person. Occasionally I do get creative
late at night, but that isn't usually my best time.
Hugs, Karen
I'm honored to be the Guest Designer for May, June and July! I'm totally psyched!
I own many Treehouse stamps, and LOVE the animals! I have really taken to the new
frog, and just love to color him!I started stamping 20+ years ago.  I was a Scrapbooking
Celebrity for Creating Keepsakes. And, I have sold my quilt designs to a major quilting
designer.I am currently serving on these Design Teams: H&M Stamps, Gina K. Designs
and Innovative Stamp Creations.

My degrees are in Communication (masters) and Primary Education. I was a
Kindergarten teacher in the inter-city school of Jacksonville, FL for 7 years...It didn't
take...Then, I owned and published,(with my ex), the only locally owned newspaper on
Florida's First Coast. We owned it until his death, when I gave over the rights to his
sons.  I've been married to Mark for a decade, and we have a his, mine and ours family.
His son, Brian is 22. My son, Nick is 22 and Markie is 8! Yep! We were insane! LOL!
(We WILL be the oldest PARENTS at graduation....LOL) We share our home with 3
dogs and 6 inside cats, and 1 outside cat. (It's a REAL ZOO!!!!)

My hobbies include, writing, reading, gardening, and quilting. (Oh, other than
STAMPING!!!) LOL!

I find that I can be in the middle of a homework lesson with Markie and come up with
something! LOL! It just depends on what/when the urge to stamp hits!

I stamp, MOST of the time between 5AM and 9AM...(I have RA, and no numbness in my
left hand. My meds work best in the mornings!:-)
Faith
has me going to bed between 11 and midnight, although I have been known to stay up
until 3am to work on something!

I don't have a specific time during the week I feel is more creative than another, whenever
inspiration strikes me. I keep notes in my sketchbook for ideas I have or something I've
seen out and about.

I make the time to be creative, otherwise I probably would find other excuses. Having TiVo
definitely  helps!! I don't feel like I have to watch my favorite show when it's on and can
catch up on it anytime I want.
