What do I love about summer?  I love the beauty of all the flowers in bloom, the
birds flying by and lazy days of doing nothing!  Summer is a time of rebirth to me,
where I come out of my cocoon, similar to the caterpillar, as I awaken from a long
cold winter.  Days are longer, and the nights are so fresh and peaceful.  I would be
one happy gal if summer stayed all year long!!  I hope everyone has a fun and safe
summer!
Taking a walk in the morning before the heat sets in. Joining the Summer Reading
program at the library for with my kids. 4-H meetings, the smell of fresh cut grass,
for an Iced Coffee. Riding bikes with my kids, going on picnics, hiking in the
woods. Our local county Fair. Oh, the smells of a Fair, from foods to the animals,
seeing school mates that I hadn’t seen since last Fair. All of these things are what I
love about Summer.Amber
It's SUMMER everyone!!  I am SOO happy because there is so much that I love about it.  I
have to say the thing I love the most about Summer are all of the different aromas that fill
the air.  I love driving down a country road and smelling the cows in a field.  I know that
sounds weird because cows are usually associated with a bad smell. LOL  It just reminds
me of a simpler time when I lived for the Summer rodeos.  I also love the smell of
honeysuckle.  My brother and I used to walk down the road and pick the honeysuckle
bushes and have ourselves a sweet treat. :)  I love the smell of chlorine at the pool.  I love
the smell of fresh cut grass.  And I love the smell of herbs growing in my garden.  It's
amazing to me how certain scents can take me back in time and immediately bring a smile
to my face.  I hope everyone enjoys their Summer as much as I am. Best wishes, Kristin
I love having Markie at home with me!!!! We go to the park, pool, Adventure
Landing, the movies, and the mall! He's the best running buddy I've ever had! LOL!

My favorite thing about summer?  No job!  I am a teacher, so the summers I am off! I get
to sleep in, stay up late to scrap, and bum around.  It is my time to catch up with family
and friends, go to the lake and watch my kids enjoy boating, fishing, and playing in the
sand.  I love that there is no schedule to follow, no particular place to be.  I also enjoy the
taste of a good bbq and an ice cold Corona!  (Not too many! LOL!)

Project of the Month
Welcome to Treehouse Stamps June Newsletter!
The Kaleb the Kool Koala was stamped in Basic Black and colored in with an aqua painter. This was
done by scribbling the Going Gray marker into the lid of the Going Gray ink pad. Then, I used the Aqua
Painter to pick up the then DILUTED ink!

I sponged the Regal Rose circles with Pink Passion.

The leaves are cut from a Treehouse Stamps (Simply Organic) Stamp set!

The envelopes were sponged on the sides and flap. The leaves were colored with SU! markers.

Here are the directions for the Scallop Box and the Scallop 3x3's!

First, make box as per the directions found here:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352435

(Box shown here as olive for VISUAL purposes ONLY! (I used BLACK!)

Cut 2 of the LARGEST Scallop Nestibilities. You can also just TRACE A PLATE or a Coluzzle template
and cut out!(No scallops, but hey, still ROUND, right?)

Tape the scallops to the outside of the box.

Create a 3"x3" card by folding a sheet of 3 1/4" x 8" piece of card stock in half. (This one is LARGER!) I
chose a 3" scalloped circle for this! Place the CENTER TOP three scallops a bit ABOVE the fold and run it
through the Cuttlebug! I had to do this three times to cut through the card stock. (Or, trace a glass/cup or
use a Coluzzle and place the template in the same location, then cut!)

There you Have it! :o)
Have a Great Day!

my DH's job has taken us all over the country.  I went to a Stampin' Up
anything since I did not need another craft to add to my resume!  Well,
you know how that went.  I've been an avid stamper ever since with a
growing collection of card-making "stuff".  Is it the nature of the game to
become as addicted as I seem to be?  I joined SCS about 3 years ago
and have been addicted to challenges ever since that too.  I must admit
challenges have helped me grow as a stamper and I must thank the
stamping community for that!  My DH and I live at a campground and
are hoping to sell our home and go full time in our 5th wheel.  I'm
already planning on how to store what I need!!!  Wherever we go, so
go my stamps.  I am so excited to become part of this team and am
honored to have been asked.
